Belgium is Design has partnered with hub.brussels to present a collective exhibition at the Brussels House during Milan Design Week. The exhibition (un)wrapped, features 10 Brussels-based designers: Iskandar Jani, Vormen + Elmes + Générale + Sarah & Charles, Inner Design, Cru Atelier, Hugh Roche Kelly, Anna Tou, Finkr Studio, Louise Verstraete, Olivier Vitry of Claisse Architecture & Annie Delvenne, Ariane van Dievoet
From hand-crafted and transformed raw materials to repurposed and recycled elements, the selected designers embrace an approach that balances innovation with tradition, functionality with emotion. Their work highlights the power of design to reconnect with nature, rethink waste as a resource, and create spaces that enhance wellbeing.
At the heart of this exhibition is a commitment to design that serves both people and the planet. Through sustainable sourcing, circular processes, and deep material research, these Brussels-based designers offer a glimpse into a future where objects are not just functional but meaningful, adaptable, and rooted in a sense of responsibility. Conceived as a window display, the scenography, explores the act of unveiling, offering a new perspective on contemporary design.
